Colour Belt
Syllabus for Safety Nunchaku Color Belts
A syllabus is essential for providing structured training to students and helping them develop their skills. In order to ensure proper training and understanding of the Safety Nunchaku Martial Art, the Safety Nunchaku Founder, Grand Master, Technical Director of the World Safety Nunchaku Association, Shodai-Soke S. Kothandan, has introduced a transparent graduation system as a syllabus
It is important to note that completing the syllabus and conducting exams for belt promotions is not enough. Belts and certificates are merely symbols of achievement and recognition that bring fame and pride. However, true talent matters when it comes to applying the art of Safety Nunchaku in practical situations. While accreditations may be beneficial in the present, the art of Safety Nunchaku requires genuine talent. A licensing system has been introduced for Safety Nunchaku Coaches, Junior Instructors, and Senior Instructors to address this. Only those who have undergone proper training can effectively teach others.
Therefore, the Safety Nunchaku syllabus is designed in a way that proper training can be imparted through the cultivation of talent. Any club or school intending to offer Safety Nunchaku classes must adhere to the syllabus outlined below. Color belts will be issued based on the successful completion of the corresponding syllabus requirements.
Note: Developing a comprehensive and progressive syllabus for Safety Nunchaku is essential for promoting the development of fundamental skills and knowledge in this discipline. The syllabus should encompass specific techniques, Katas, exercises, and principles corresponding to each color belt level. It should also highlight the criteria and requirements for progressing to the next belt level, ensuring a clear path of advancement. This syllabus aims to cultivate mastery in Safety Nunchaku through systematic training, enabling practitioners to demonstrate their proficiency and competence. By incorporating a variety of Techniques, Katas, Directions, Line of Practice, Own style, Ball tapping, Target Practice and exercises, the syllabus provides a well-rounded approach to learning and honing skills essential for winning the Safety Nunchaku Competitions.

There are two systems under this title:
1) "Siddha Vakya Guru" is essentially a hereditary honorary title. It is typically awarded to someone who has made significant contributions to Safety Nunchaku from its origin as an administrator and helped the Founder of a Style or the Founder's legal heir. K. SINGHAVEL, who has been instrumental from the beginning and has provided invaluable assistance to the Founder, holds the esteemed position of Siddha Vakya Guru. He possesses greater proficiency in theoretical knowledge than practical skills and is responsible for administering the Safety Nunchaku Martial Art at the global level.
The teachings of the Siddha Vakya Guru may be conveyed through various means, including formal lectures, individual instruction, and even casual conversation. The power of their words is believed to come not only from the content of their message but also from the technical aspects, sportsmanship, tournament performance, perfection, and speed of Safety Nunchaku dissemination to their students.
2. Instructor Line or Guru's Line - The Siddha Vakya Guru is responsible for the actual teaching and operation of the School, and he will be elevated systematically by Shodai-Soke, recognizing his rank, title, and contributions in terms of technical knowledge, spreading the Safety Nunchaku Art, service to the Art, and overall improvement of students at a global level.
10th Degree Black Belt: to Indian Culture, someone who is extreme and vast knowledge in a particular field is bestowed with the title of " VISHWA GURU " -- World Master or Global Master for Safety Nunchaku Martial Art
In the Japanese Martial Art of Karate, the person who creates a new Martial Art or introduces a new style of Karate is called "SHODAI-SOKE." The Ultimate Titles: Vishwa Guru and Shodai-Soke are exclusively reserved for Founder S. Kothandan, recognizing his exceptional contributions and achievements. These titles cannot be attained by future individuals. The highest level achievable for future Safety Nunchaku practitioners is the esteemed rank of Siddha Vakya Guru.
